The Characters Are All Fictional

Curtis Green. Twenty Five. Santa Cruz County, California. I adore the mountains and the clouds, the sun, and the moon, the flaura and the fauna, the oceans and streams and those that love me unconditionally.

"I was 12 going on 13 the first time I saw a dead human being. It happened in the summer of 1959-a long time ago, but only if you measure in terms of years. I was living in a small town in Oregon called Castle Rock. There were only twelve hundred and eighty-one people. But to me, it was the whole world.”

Fierce Deity mask and Mask of the Thief King

Two more masks have been fired. This time the Fierce Deity mask and a mask of my own design based on the classic Zelda villain Gannondorf.

While sculpting Gannondorf’s face I notice a lot of similarities between his features and those of a Jappanese Oni or the monstrous masks made in various oriental countries; I tried to emphasize these characteristics to create a unique depiction of the villain.

Truth’s light at strange turns of the mind’s road,
wrong turns that lead
over the border into wonder,

mistaken directions, forgotten signs
all bringing the soul’s travels to a place
of origin, a well
under the lake where the Muse moves.
